Mapping What I Know About Sea Level Rise/Flooding Related to Global

Change

Using the C-Map (online graphic organizer program) to begin to build what students know about climate change, locally, nationally, and globally. Students will add to the graphic organizer map as they progress through the unit.


 

Research various coastal areas (student choice) 1) Impacts of climate change, sea level rise/flooding.What are the economic, social, and environmental consequences of changes in coastal areas

 

 

Construct an Explanation & Patterns of Interactions  Using the C-Map (online graphic organizer program)  students will revise their individual maps from readings and research about climate change, locally, nationally, and globally.

 


 

Investment Driven Ecology Unit

 

The environmental and financial connection between climate change and extreme weather events on coastal urban centers in various parts of the world

Research various coastal areas (student choice) 2) What they are doing and/or plan to do in relationship to planning, prevention, mitigation and sustainability What are the economic, social, and environmental consequences of changes in coastal areas

 

 

Research what Miami-Dade County is doing for sea level rise/flooding  1) Impacts of climate change, sea level rise/flooding What are the economic, social, and environmental consequences of changes in coastal areas.
